One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Making independent environmental program decisions and management of investigations and remediation of complex environmental problems based on FUDS/CERCLA requirements and making appropriate recommendations leading to successful solutions and remedies; AND 2) Evaluating contract award recommendations for approval or disapproval; AND 3) Supporting regional/division program/project plans by managing environmental program fund distribution, usage and accountability; AND 4) Advising headquarters, clients, and other stakeholders on national program goals, project developments, funding requirements or problems, management polices and scientific findings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
