    Responsibilities

    • Employee manages servers for assigned unit(s). Performs daily back up functions, monitors the event logs for errors, and applies update packages. Fields new computers in coordination with DOIM.
    • Incumbent requests and establishes new user accounts through the automated system at DOIM. Briefs new users on security requirements and provide quarterly security briefings.
    • Supports all Mobilizations (MOBs), Demobilizations (DMOBs) and Soldier Readiness Processing at various locations. Performs Terminal Area Security Officer (TASO) duties for Finance programs. Ensures all systems on the Army network are accredited.

    Qualifications

    Specialized Experience:
    One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
    Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.

    For the GS-07, specialized experience is defined as providing computer hardware and software support to an organization, including troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of system applications and hardware.

    Volunteer Experience: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience.

    For the GS-07: One (1) year of graduate education that is directly related to the work of the position.

      the necessary certification within six (6) months of entry on duty into this IA position. Once
      certified, the incumbent must meet the continuing education training requirements as
      outlined in DFASI 8570.01-I.

    How You Will Be Evaluated

    1. Best Qualified Category - Exceeds the minimum qualification requirements and demonstrates a high level of proficiency in the job related competencies based on the answers to the occupational questionnaire.
    2. Highly Qualified Category - Exceeds the minimum qualification requirements and demonstrates proficiency in some of the job-related competencies based on the answers to the occupational questionnaire.
    3. Qualified Category - Meets the minimum qualifications as described in the Qualifications section of this announcement.

    USAFMCOM is a Major Subordinate Command to the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) whose mission is to deliver logistics, sustainment and material readiness from the installation to the forward tactical edge to ensure globally dominant land force capabilities.
