    THIS IS AN ARIZONA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION

    This position is in the Excepted Service "under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA).

    This position is part of the AZ USPFO, Arizona National Guard under Position Description Number PDT5268000.

    Responsibilities

    This position is located at the USPFO in Phoenix, Arizona. Its purpose is to perform comprehensive analysis of logistical procedures, services, directives, and the operation of the division. The incumbent compiles, correlates, and submits various reports on logistical functions and provides technical
    guidance and policy direction for the division. Acts in behalf of the Supply Management Officer when required.

    • Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.

    Qualifications

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies (knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics):

    1. Ability to review, analyze, and interpret logistical directives and procedural instructions, to include internal controls from higher authority, and recommends local policy and procedures for the Division.

    2. Skilled in providing functional analysis of automated support requirements.

    3. Ability to assist subordinate branches within the Division in establishing local procedures.

    4. Skilled in evaluating the effect of new supply and services programs on funding requirements and develops or participates in the development of justification for budget submission/modification.

    5. Ability to plan and schedule work in a manner that promotes a smooth flow and even distribution.
