    THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

    This National Guard position is for a Supply Technician (Inventory Management), Position Description Number D2134000 and is part of the WY 153rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, National Guard.

    Responsibilities

    The primary purpose of this position is to function as the installations technical expert in the management of centralized inventory functions and provide services in support of inventory control, storage, cataloging or supply identification, property utilization and accountability including those with automated or manual supply accounting systems.

    (1) Performs research to resolve all inventory discrepancies. Conducts inventory research to identify root causes, trends of inventory discrepancies/adjustment, maintains inventory trend charts, and performs corrective actions needed to prevent further out-of-balance conditions.
    (2) Responsible for the Inventory Adjustment Register (M10) accountability. Ensures the M-10 is certified and approved by responsible parties.
    (3) Assist the EAE in performing the semi-annual COMSEC/CCI, Weapons reconciliation, and monthly inspections in accordance with regulations.
    (4) Provide guidance to other Logistic Readiness sections to ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force and other applicable guidance in inventory management and control.
    (5) Coordinates with Operations and Compliance section to ensure accurate reporting to the LRS/CC/AO in accordance with regulations.
    (6) Thorough knowledge of governing supply regulation, policies and procedures to conduct extensive research for required information as it pertains to inventory management.

    EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
    Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).
    The Selected applicant must complete an "I-9, Employment Verification", "OF-306, Declaration of Federal Employment", a Memorandum understanding requirements upon acceptance of an Indefinite position, a "Declaration of Relatives in the Wyoming Military Department" prior to the appointment date.
    Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses.
    Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives.
    Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive
    Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
    Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
    PCS is not authorized in lieu of incentives.
    Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a
    Technician.
    Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
    Indefinite employees may be terminated or displaced at management's discretion with a 30-day written notice.

    Qualifications

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
    2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
    3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
    4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

    DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
    Work involving supervising or performing clerical or technical supply support work necessary to ensure the effective operation of ongoing supply activities. Work is performed in a wide range of systematized supply operations, such as performing administrative functions in inventory, storage, cataloging, receipt and control processes.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    Must possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
    Must possess at least 12 months experience, education, or training which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts. Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.

    NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. Applicants must provide from (e.g. 02/2015 - 03/2017 or Feb 2017 - Mar - 2017) dates and hours worked per week with description of your specialized experience on the resume.

    MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement.

    Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2S0X1, MATERIEL MANAGEMENT.

    Enlisted 2S0X1 ASVAB Requirements:
    Must possess a minimum score of "41" on the Administrative and "44" on the General portion of the ASVAB.
    Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333333.
    Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted.

    DRIVER'S LICENSE:
    Must possess a valid state's driver's license.

    TENURE: GROUP III - INDEFINITE
    Purpose: To fill a position that may last for more than 1 year where the need for an employee's services is not permanent or management expects the position to potentially become permanent (career or career-conditional) at some time in the future.

    Often used to backfill positions left vacant by employees entering Title 10 or Title 32 military orders with reemployment rights. An employee with statutory reemployment rights (USERRA) is protected for five years.

    • Incumbent's performance under an indefinite appointment is a least "fully successful" or equivalent;
    • Outplacement program requirements have been met, and
    • Similarly situated employees (in the same title, pay plan, series and grade) within the organization, hired under the same appointment conversion provision, have been considered under internal competition procedures.

    • Knowledge and ability to perform routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management, such as inventory management, excess property, storage management etc.
