    Responsibilities

    FV-G Level: Responsible for performing multiple and varying assignments under the general direction of the manager. May work as a team member on various projects. Responsible for providing or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization. The paramount qualifications required are detailed knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods, and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Incumbent is responsible for providing advice and guidance on varying fiscal and administrative matters to management. Primarily concerned with providing or securing the resources or services needed to run the organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission. As the office Administration Professional; Coordinates with Human Resources to obtain guidance as it relates to organizational related functions including pay and leave, and benefits. Reviews travel associated matters and the training program including initial and recurring. Responsible for managing the office logistics program including personal property, supplies and services, and acquisition activities, awards, OSHA, security and vehicle management. Identifies, analyzes and recommends solutions to recurring problems and offers recommendations for improvements. Interprets guidelines and provides management with advice and counsel on the operation of assigned programs and interrelationships of such programs. Most assignments are completed without direct supervision as established in the guidelines. Some discretion is given to select the most appropriate approach. Work is frequently reviewed, typically at major milestones and at completion for policy compliance and alignment with other work activity. Supports the office assisting in monitoring available resources and ensures office administrative processes are functioning efficiently and effectively and in accordance with current guidance, policies, procedures, and regulations. Performs additional duties as assigned.

    FV-H Level: Performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited supervision of the manager. Works on one’s own or may serve as a team leader on various projects. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and assists others to plan and use assigned resources to complete tasks. Applies experience and advanced knowledge as applicable to the task being performed. Incumbent is responsible for providing and/or obtaining a variety of management services essential to the direction and operation of the organization. The paramount qualifications required are advanced knowledge and understanding of management principles, practices, methods, and techniques, and skill in integrating management services with the general management of the organization. Incumbent is primarily concerned with providing, securing, or negotiating for the resources or services needed to manage and run the organization. The work involves direct assistance to the supervisor who has the primary responsibility for the direction of the organization established to accomplish the mission.

    Qualifications

    Specialized Experience:

    To qualify for this at the FV-G Level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-F or FG/GS-5/7/9 level.

    To qualify for this position at the FV-H Level, you must demonstrate in your application that you
    possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G or FG/GS-10/11 in the Federal
    Service.

    Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience may include but is not limited to:

    FV-G: Experience applying management principles, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing for the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization.

    FV-H: Experience applying management principles, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience integrating management services with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization; experience performing systematic general management reviews and audits to reach conclusions and make recommendations.

    Education substitution for FV-G:

    Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related, OR a combination of education and experience. Education at the graduate level in an accredited college or university must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
