- As a Management and Program Analyst you will perform the following duties:
- Serve as an expert or analyst or advisor on the evaluation of the effectiveness of programs and operations and/or the productivity and efficiency of management; implement, coordinate and/or oversee a variety of complex management programs.
- Plan and/or conduct broad and/or in-depth special studies; develop and/or evaluate policies in assigned areas of responsibility;
- Design and coordinate planning activities; develop, implement and/or monitor sophisticated management information systems;
- Prepare and/or provide briefings and presentations on analytical findings and recommendations; direct the development of new and/or changes to existing directives;
- Determine the applicability and effect of new or proposed legislation, executive orders, agency directives, and other agency decisions on organizational operations, managerial programs and requirements; and represent the organization at meetings.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.

QualificationsTo qualify as a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-13, you must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 performing duties such as:
- Conducting statistical analysis, studies, and analyzing findings to make recommendations on substantive operating programs that require applying a knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, along with a knowledge of the mission, organization, and work processes of the programs and the relationships of administrative support activities;
- Conducting detailed analysis of complex functions and work processes including the examination of production standards, workloads, non-productive time, and deviations from standards to determine validated staffing requirements for the function studied;
- Performing a wide variety of analytical studies and projects related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls, and long-range planning, including developing guidance on techniques for management and methods improvements, analyzing and advising on proposed reorganizations or realignment of functions, and developing manuals and directives covering the administrative aspects of field operations;
- Prepare and/or provide briefings and presentations on analytical findings and recommendations; direct the development of new and/or changes to existing directives.
