    Summary

    Information Disclosure Specialist supports the Board's Information Disclosure program, which is responsible for ensuring the Board's compliance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA), the Board's Rules Regarding Availability of Information (Board Rules), and relevant Department of Justice (DOJ) guidance.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include (1) end-to-end processing of FOIA/PA requests and appeals; (2) serving as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding the Board's information disclosure policies and procedures; (3) maintaining the Board's public FOIA webpage and electronic FOIA reading room; (4) performing research and analysis to assist in the production of reports as required by the FOIA and DOJ guidance; and (5) processing requests for certificates and posting regulatory proposals and comment letters to the Board's public FOIA webpage.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications for FR-24:
    Requires (1) a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or (2) a master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience. Requires excellent analytical ability, information technology skills, and oral and written communication skills. Work demands superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously. Must possess ability to acquire and demonstrate increasing levels of subject matter expertise regarding applicable laws, regulations, and guidance.

    Qualifications for FR-25:
    Requires (1) a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience processing FOIA/PA requests at a federal government agency; or (2) a master's degree and 3 years of experience processing FOIA/PA requests at a federal government agency. Requires exceptional analytical ability, information technology skills, and oral and written communication skills. Work demands superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously. Must possess and demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding applicable laws, regulations, and guidance.

    Qualifications for FR-26:
    Requires (1) a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience processing FOIA/PA requests at a federal government agency; or (2) a master's degree and 4 years of experience processing FOIA/PA requests at a federal government agency. Requires exceptional analytical ability, information technology skills, and oral and written communication skills. Work demands superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously. Must possess and demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding applicable laws, regulations, and guidance. Prefer experience supervising other staff.

    Bachelors Degree.
