As a Health Science Specialist you will:
- Serve as an Agency expert, providing intellectual leadership in HIV biomedical prevention; generate recommendations on the design and implementation of international HIV biomedical prevention programming, including relevant research and community platforms.
- Provide direct technical support to USAID overseas Missions and senior Regional Bureau personnel to ensure that HIV biomedical prevention programs are effective, efficient and sustainable.
- Develop and/or review Global Health Bureau, Regional Bureau, and overseas Mission HIV policies, strategies, and programs, and provide technical assistance to improve the management of USAID-supported HIV biomedical prevention.
- Provide guidance and direction on USAID’s strategic approach to addressing the HIV epidemic through the provision of accessible, high-quality HIV biomedical prevention services in a variety of resource-limited settings.
- Assist in the management of grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts designed to implement, monitor and evaluate HIV prevention, care and treatment programs.
- Serve as a Contracting/Agreement Officer’s Representative (COR/AOR) as needed.
