APPOINTMENT DURATION/EXPECTATION: Interns will be appointed to a temporary appointment not-to-exceed September 30, 2019 and will not be extended. Appointment is based on continued need/funds for the position and the student's continued compliance in the Pathways Internship Program and will not be non-competitively converted to a term (not-to-exceed one to four years) or permanent appointment in the competitive service.
As a Student Trainee (Administrative Support), you will perform the following major duties:
- include performing administrative and clerical support and assistance,
- assembling data,
- consolidating and preparing reports,
- gathering and analyzing requested information for a variety of projects,
- providing information to others and following up to assure completion, and
- other work of a general clerical and administrative nature.

QualificationsIn order to qualify for the Pathways Internship Program, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria and the qualification requirements corresponding to the grade level at which they wish to be considered by the closing date of the announcement:
PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be currently enrolled in high school or accepted for enrollment as a degree seeking student in an accredited vocational or technical institution, 2- or 4- year college/university or graduate/professional school; taking a minimum half-time load of courses; possessing and maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 on a scale of 4.0; and pursuing any of the following academic degrees:
- High School Diploma
- Vocational/Technical Certificate (two-year program)
- Associate's Degree
- Baccalaureate Degree Graduate Degree (Master's program)
- Professional Degree (Doctoral program)
GS-01: Enrollment in a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) program.
GS-02: Completion of high school or GED diploma.

GS-04: Completion of 2 full academic years (60 semester/90 quarter units) of post-high school study or an associate's degree.

GS-07: Completion of one full academic year of graduate level education (18 semester/27 quarter units); or eligibility under Superior Academic
Achievement provision and completion of a bachelor's degree.
One full academic year of undergraduate; graduate; vocational; trades; technical or high school education is the number of credit hours determined by the college, university or school to represent 1 year of full-time study.
