QualificationsThis position is a temporary excepted service appointment, Not To Exceed (NTE) one year with the possibility of extension without further posting. This student position can possibly be extended until the student graduates or is no longer enrolled at which time the position will terminate.
Please note that if you are a fall 2018 or spring 2019 graduate you will not be eligible for this student appointment unless you are enrolled at a qualifying educational institution seeking an additional degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) or an advanced degree. You also must submit proof of acceptance along with you current transcripts for consideration.

Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of a least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) throughout their appointment to remain in the program.
You must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a degree program or qualified certificate program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 out of 4.0. All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
At the GS-1 grade level you must either be currently enrolled in High School or a GED program or post high school stud.
At the GS-2 grade level you must either have successfully completed a high school diploma or equivalent or will have successfully completed a high school diploma or equivalent within 9 months from the closing date.
At the GS-3 grade level you must either have successfully completed one full year of post-high school study or will have successfully completed one full year of post-high school study within 9 months from the closing date of this announcement.
At the GS-4 grade level you must either have successfully completed an Associate's degree or two full academic years of post-high school study or will have successfully completed an Associate's degree or two full academic years of post-high school study within 9 months from the closing date of this announcement.
At the GS-5 grade level you must either have a 4 academic course years of post-high school leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree, 3 years of general experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least GS-4 level work, or a combination of education and experience.
