    Army Child and Youth Services offer a 20% reduction of fees for Child and Youth Services Staff.

    This position is assigned to Child Development Services.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for driving CYS owned or assigned busses used for transporting children and youth to and from school, to other CYS and Garrison facilities, and on field trips.
    • Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips.
    • Maintains control of and accountability for children and youth at all times. Follows safe loading and unloading procedures.
    • Develops and follows efficient, consistent and safe bus routes for routine trips (e.g., to and from school) to minimize transportation time.
    • As appropriate for the age of the children, ensures all children are in appropriate child restraints.

    • Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
    • Schedule includes irregular hours, evenings, and/or weekends.
    • Duties involve working both indoors and outdoors under different types of weather conditions.
    • This position requires mandatory drug testing.
    • Satisfactory performance and successful completion of Annual training requirements within prescribed time frame are required.
    • This position requires mandated reporting of all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect.
    • The physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis is required.
    • The appropriate driver?s license must be valid and current.

    Qualifications

    1. High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
    2. Ability to communicate in English at a level to assure the duties described can be accomplished in a safe and satisfactory manner.
    3. Experience in accomplishing the types of duties described in this job.
    4. Requires a commercial drivers license (CDL) with no restrictions to operate a passenger vehicle that carries 16 or more.
