    Summary

    Category management is a new buying approach that involves identifying core categories of spend and developing heightened levels of expertise, sharing best practices, managing supply and demand etc. In this position you would serve as Human Capital Category Mgmt Analyst for HR Solutions (HRS).

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the point of contact and project lead for integrated project teams associated with the human capital category.
    • Advise key stakeholders and OPM executive leadership on human capital for category management.
    • Advise other category management team members and Program Management Office on strategic direction and execution of strategic goals and initiatives.
    • Research and analyze human capital market and complex customer data.
    • Develop or revise outreach efforts, i.e. marketing and promotional methods, involved in advancing category objectives and services visibility.

    Qualifications

    For the GS-12 grade level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent) that provided them with a knowledge of category management program principles, concepts, regulations, practices, analytical methods and techniques.

    For the GS-13 grade level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) participating in category management projects designed to identify and advise on category management programs, problems and initiatives.

    Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level.

    You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
