You will serve as a Disaster Recovery Specialist for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Office of Disaster Assistance (ODA), Customer Service Center - CSC Buffalo, New York. This position provides customer service to individuals, businesses, and internal customers regarding the SBA disaster loan program.

As a Disaster Recovery Specialist (Bilingual), some of your typical work assignment may include:
Mandatory Overtime is Required: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated hours, up to seven days a week and twelve to fourteen hours a day may be required.
Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
A security clearance is not required; however, selectees will be subject to a background check and must have a credit score of at least 500.
Required/Desired Competencies:
Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university or two full years (36 semester hours or equivalent) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field.
Education and work experience may also be combined to qualify for this position.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
