This position is located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas Medical Library.

- Serve as the Librarian-in-Charge for the Medical Library supervising library staff ranging from Technical Information Specialist, contact library employees, assigned military personnel, and volunteers.
- Responsible for the establishment of positions, the determination of special qualifications, and selection of employees.
- Plan, direct, coordinate, and review the operations of the library and information program.
- Promote medical library services and information to assigned health care providers.
- Plan, develop, maintain and review all systems, methods, practices, and procedures required to provide library services in accordance with established policies and standards.

Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: serving as a medical reference and systems librarian providing information services, to include reference, research, reader advisory, and instruction specializing in health oriented subject areas such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, allied health, and health care administration, but also in general subjects, scientific and technical areas to support a wide variety of academic programs equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal Service.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:

Basic Education Requirement:
A. A completion of one (1) full year academic year of graduate study in library science in an accredited college or university, in addition to completion of all work required for a bachelor's degree; (NOTE: a copy of your transcipts must be submitted to be considered)
B. A total of at least 5 years of a combination of college-level education, training, and experience.
