This position is located in the Ronald Reagan Building, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., N.W., Washington, DC in the Bureau for the Middle East, Office of Technical Services (ME/TS).

Duties

As a Regional Program Coordinator, you will assist with plans and designs for mission-specific projects to ensure coordinated and focused support for established and/or proposed program objectives.  Exercise independent judgment and apply broad technical knowledge of international conditions and trends.  Prepare and assure preparation of design and implementation documents, concepts, and decision papers, briefing memoranda, reports, authorizations, and Congressional Notifications.

You will assist the Bureau and Missions in advancing the state-of-the-art of the international cooperation discipline, and in improving approaches in activity management.  Serve as a technical expert on the most challenging reform, strategic planning and programming; processes. Provide expert analysis and advice on Middle East programs on undefined issues and elements for programs essential to USAID’s mission, such as major agency reforms and programs of national scope and impact.

You will design and participate in broad international cooperation assessments, and participate in results framework development and review. Present and defend positions, as required, before strategic, budget, program design and implementation, results reporting, and closeout plan reviews. Provide guidance to Program Objective teams, DO Teams, and/or other groups. Coordinate information and builds consensus from various organizations involved in the preparation and approval of various documents.

What To Expect Next

Step 3 - Apply Online

Step 4 - Answer the Online Questions and Submit Your Online Application

If this is your first time on Treasury's CareerConnector website, you will be prompted to register by answering questions related to your eligibility for Federal employment. The system will save these responses and take you back to the main screen so that you can answer the job-specific questions. Select "Take me to the assessment" and click on the "Next" button to answer the job-specific questions. You must answer all the questions and click the "Finish" button.

Step 5 - Review and Confirm Your Submission

Step 6 - Submit Documents

How You Will Be Evaluated

We use a multi-step process to evaluate and refer applicants: Qualified applicants receive a score of 70 to 100. You will be rated on your qualifications for this position as evidences by the work experience, and training you report on relative to this positions that show the degree to which you possess the Competencies listed on this vacancy announcement. USAID must be able to conduct reference checks as part of its assessment process. Applicants who do not permit reference checked from previous employers may be disqualified.
