If you are an exceptionally talented, knowledgeable, and motivated individual interested in leading a dynamic team of professionals involved in the management of scientific, policy and administrative matters relevant to the conduct of extramural research, you should consider a Supervisory Health Scientist Administrator/Branch Chief position with the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). The Branch Chief positions provide scientific and policy leadership, develop and articulate NICHD scientific and disease-related priorities, keep abreast of the latest scientific advance and identify opportunities not yet explored. These positions are located within NICHD, Division of Extramural Research (DER).
Child Development & Behavior Branch (CDBB) - (DER) - The Child Development & Behavior Branch provides a research focus on the psychological, psychobiological, language, behavioral, and educational development and health of children. The CDBB seeks a candidate with a strong background in any of these areas including neuroscience and behavioral genetics as they impact upon the development of children and youth.
Gynecologic Health & Disease Branch - (GHDB) (DER) - The Gynecologic Health & Disease Branch provides a research focus (based on cross-fertilization of clinical, translational, and scientific expertise) on improvements in the gynecological health and well-being of women. The GHDB seeks a candidate with a strong background in gynecology with additional training in reproductive medicine.
Pediatric Trauma & Critical Illness Branch (PTCIB)- (DER) - The Pediatric Trauma & Critical Illness Branch provides a research focus to enhance outcomes resulting from childhood injury or illness. PTCIB seeks a candidate with a strong background in pediatrics, emergency medicine, rehabilitation medicine, neurology, or pediatric surgery.
Pregnancy & Perinatology Branch (PPB)- (DER) - The Pregnancy and Perinatology Branch provides a research focus on maternal and neonatal health. The PPB seeks a candidate with a strong background in obstetrics and gynecology with additional training in maternal-fetal medicine.
