KEY REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES:

You will:

-  Serve as principle advisor to Regional senior management on all human resource programs and initiatives.  Implements human capital activities at the Regional level.

-  Exercise full authority in supervising the Regional HR staff as it provides consultation and advisory services; Las Vegas Shared Service Center (LVSSC) liaison services, labor and employee relations services; organizational effectiveness and design; position management; training and development and oversight and management of highly complex and technical personnel matters.

-  In consultation with the LVSSC and Regional management, develop creative outreach and recruitment strategies and activities to fill hard-to-fill positions.




QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

You do not need a degree to qualify for this position.

We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:

To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience defined as experience:  1) developing policy recommendations AND 2) experience applying a wide range of  Federal civilian HR laws, concepts and principles and practices to oversee and manage the full spectrum of General Schedule personnel operations AND 3) promoting and maintaining good working relationships with key individuals or groups in order to accomplish goals and objectives.

 

Your answers to the on-line assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:

2. Ability to communicate and coordinate with program participants in order to identify deficiencies and opportunities and provide direction for improvement.

This position does not require a degree.

This position is designated as Moderate Risk and requires a background investigation.  Unless an appropriate background investigation is already on record with the Office of Personnel Management, you must undergo a background investigation.
