 This position is located within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic, Groton, CT. This position is responsible for providing direct support to the Public Works Officer providing a variety of key administrative functions essential to the unit.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal & Regulatory Guidance.
  • Suitable for Federal employment as determined by background investigation.

DUTIES:

  • Analyze administrative requirements against available resources         

  • Formulate strategies to execute personnel programs

  • Maintain incoming/outgoing correspondence for all administrative personnel          

  • Maintain inventory of supplies for administrative personnel         

  • Develop, implement, sustain and oversee innovative and practical administrative processes


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • analyzing administrative requirements
  • performing complex personnel actions
  • perform efficient coverage across administrative staff of government purchase cards, cell phones and vehicles

Or

  • I have a bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees AND I have Superior Academic Achievement

Or

  •  I have 1 full year of graduate level education. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work

REQUIREMENTS:

Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade.  All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.
