This position serves as the Facilities Administrator for a region within the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Under the supervision of the Deputy Regional Director, the Regional Facilities Administrator is responsible for directing the facilities programs for the regional office, and for providing guidance and f=direction related to facilities development and maintenance programs at institutions throughout their respective region.
Provides authoritative counsel to the Regional Director, other federal prison system staff, other agencies and various professional colleagues regarding the design and construction requirements of federal correctional institutions. Participates along with other Regional and Central Office staff in various mission and policy planning and execution activities. Guides new construction, renovations, maintenance and energy conservation programs throughout the region.

Special Conditions of Employment Section:
Initial appointment to a supervisory/managerial position requires a one-year probationary period.
