This position is part of the NASA Pathways Intern Program which is a formal training program. You may be required to perform rotational assignments in various organizations.
Researches regulations and other pertinent directives for answers to questions prior to consulting with the supervisor or a higher-grade employee. Successfully completes required formal and on-the-job training, and demonstrates a progressive ability to independently accomplish assignments.
Assignments are varied in nature, yet limited in complexity. They are structured to provide a means by which the incumbent can display and validate a working knowledge of regulations, policies, and analytical procedures and apply an increasingly full-range of the principles, concepts, and work processes common to the occupation. Makes acceptable recommendations with respect to policies and procedures.
Incumbent will receive supervised rotational assignments throughout various budgeting, financial accounting, systems and program analysis functions. Functions may include but are not limited to the following: budget formulation/execution and analysis, cost analysis, financial reporting, labor analysis and processing support, property accounting execution, advanced analytics and automation, etc.
You will be required to sign a Pathways Participant Agreement.

This position has a Selective Placement Factor (SPF) (screen-out) which will also be used to determine minimum qualifications for this position. The grade for which an applicant is qualified must be based on the degree the applicant is currently pursuing:
GS-05: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have completed at least 60 semester hours or at least 90 quarter hours of undergraduate education.

GS-06: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and have completed 90 or more semester hours or 135 or more quarter hours of undergraduate education.

GS-07: Accepted into a Master's program or in the first year of a Master's program.
