About the Position:
Provide responsive and effective theater
contracting support to the Combined Joint Operations Areas of Iraq and Afghanistan
as well as coordination authority over all Department of Defense contracting
activities operating in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan or Jordan in order
to provide unity of contracting effort.
This is a deployable position to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar, Pakistan or Jordan.
Position may be filled by temporary promotion or temporary reassignment for 13-months, and may be extended in one-year increments up to a maximum of five years.
Assignments may be Temporary Change of Station (TCS) or Temporary Duty (TDY), whichever is more cost effective to the organization. For TCS assignments, relocation entitlements may be authorized.

Experience required:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience involves experience with property accountability techniques and property records management sufficient to analyze reports to evaluate the contractor's property and disposal system transaction; gathering data/information to evaluate compliance with contract property management regulatory requirements.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency (knowledge, skills, abilities) in the following areas:
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (GS-11) or equivalent.
