JOB SUMMARY:
The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) is widely considered to be one of the best retirement plans in the world and a model for defined contribution plans. We are seeking a champion for its continual improvement.
The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) is an independent Federal Agency with a single mission: To administer the Thrift Savings Plan solely in the interest of its participants and beneficiaries. We help Federal employees and members of the Uniformed Services retire with dignity by providing benefits similar to private sector 401(k) plans. The TSP manages over $280 billion for 4.4 million participants located in every time zone around the world.
The FRTIB is looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to provide analytical and project management support for the Office of Research and Strategic Planning, and have responsibility for providing analytical assistance, advice, and support for Agency projects, programs, and functions.

Qualifications for GS-09
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that includes applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a procedural or factual nature; applying fact-finding and investigative techniques to gather necessary and accurate information needed to clarify an issue or make a decision; monitoring and analyzing project activities to track progress against milestones and objectives; and experience working with defined contribution plans.
Education:
A master's or equivalent degree or two full years of graduate level education.
Combination of Experience and Education:
A combination of experience and education as listed above.
Qualification for GS-11
Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 level in the Federal service that included applying analytical and evaluative methods and technique to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues, and developing recommendations related to management improvement, productivity improvement, management controls, and long-range planning; establishing criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of program or organizational goals and objectives; collecting data and applying appropriate tools and techniques in order to quantitatively and qualitatively benchmark programs against industry best practices; and experience working with defined contribution plans.
Education:
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of graduate level education.
Combination of Experience and Education:
A combination of experience and education as listed above.
